nyaru private game reserve offers visitors a unique safari experience with accommodation, 4 x 4 wildlife safaris, quad bike safaris and nature walks. enjoy our diverse wildlife species in their natural habitat on our guided safaris. the garden route is south africa's fifth most popular destination for foreign travelers. the southern cape region has the fastest growth in tourism industry in south africa. this area has dense tourism attractions, which included 19 whole golf courses in a 100-kilometre radius from the game reserve. the area also boasts attractions like the cango caves, numerous ostrich breeding farms, a casino, world status heritage sites, great white shark cage diving, boat trips, whale watching and deep sea fishing. history records show that the spotted hyena, lion, elephant, black rhino, hippo, bushbuck, cape mountain zebra, red hartebeest and bontebuck are indigenous to the area. steenbok, duiker, grysbok, cape hare, rock rabbit, porcupine, genet, cape fox and mongoose continue to occur naturally on the reserve, as does the caracal which is the larges free roaming predator on the reserve. the main vegetation on the reserve consists of acacia karoo thorn trees in the low-lying areas with a mixture of fynbos on the higher lying areas.

Nyaru Private Game Reserve is privately owned by the Fouché Family and have a proven track record that has made Nyaru Private Game Reserve a highly successful game reserve. Nyaru Private Game Reserve continue to make significant investments in developing and enhancing our services to customers. All our safaris are conducted by professional field guides. The farm , Miejiespoort, within the municipal area of Mossel Bay, was bought by the Fouche Trust in 1999 with the initial purpose of game farming. The farm was fenced in and game such as Cheetah, Giraffe, Sable, Rhino, Zebra, Nyala, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Black Impala, Waterbuck and other species was introduced.
Due to the location of the farm the tourism potential was soon realized and the development of a “BushLodge†commenced in 2003.

We offer a range of services to meet the needs of these Independent Travelers. We can design a complete detailed itinerary, book accommodation, car hire, and flights and offer advice on how to make the most of your visit. We have the experience and trained staff to create a holiday to suit your pace and budget. Accommodation The central focus of the lodge is the thatched restaurant/lapa area with seating for a maximum for up to 100 people with licensed bar, lounge, dining and conference facilities. Traditional cuisine is served at the restaurant. Meals can also be served on the deck area to make it a special affair with a crackling fire under the stars.

Main bedroom with a double and single bed, with en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
Upper level
Bedroom with two single beds
Each family chalet has its own small lapa with barbeque facilities
2. One bedroom chalet
Each one-bedroom chalet is equiped with a double and single bed (for infants) and has an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
