Ichibi Lakeside Lodge is perfectly situated in the Wilderness close to the N2 highway and less than half an hour drive from George airport.
We arrange car hire or pick up from George Airport to Ichibi Lakeside Lodge.  George airport is serviced by four airlines on a daily basis from Johannesburg and Cape Town International airports

An atmosphere of peace and tranquility overlooking Langvlei Lake which is home to the Fish Eagle and Otter all within 10 minutes of the wonderful beaches of the Goukamma and Wilderness.

Summer temperatures in this area range from 25°c to 35°c. The Indian Ocean a pleasant 20°c.

A wide range of restaurants are to be explored in the surrounding village and towns. Your hosts will be more than happy to advise and assist you on activities and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Professional Golf Lessons by Ben du Toit
Voted as one of the top 20 golf teachers (Complete Golfer) in South Africa, Ben du Toit will give you personal attention to improve your game. Ben has a PGA qualification as a club and teaching professional.

Some of the most spectacular courses are found within a range of 10 to 45 minutes drive from Ichibi Lakeside Lodge.

Activities

Walk in the forests, stroll on pristine beaches, the Wilderness nature reserve well known for its large selection of wild birds, unwind and relax in this beautiful paradise called the Garden Route of South Africa.

Enjoy a scenic ride on the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe Steam Train.  From George station it winds its way down and over the famous Kaaimans river bridge across the sea stopping at the Wilderness station and then through forests, over rivers, and lakes until finally crossing the Knysna lagoon.  A must for steam train enthusiasts.

Within one hour West of Ichibi - shark-cage diving, horse riding on the beach, meet the local community people on a guided cultural tour from one-man brick maker to leather goods maker, to their little village shops; scuba diving, boat ride to see the seals.  Steam train Museum.  Ever done a guided wild life safari on a 4 wheeled motor bike?  To see the lions an enclosed 4x4 will be used.

Within one hour North of Ichibi - visit the Cango caves, ride an ostrich or a camel, stroke a cheetah or admire the lazy life of crocodiles.

Within one hour East of Ichibi - the highest bungee jump in the world - a heart stopping experience to witness; highest abseil on Knysna Heads, Tsitsikamma, tree top canopy tour gliding above the forest along a steel cable, black-water tubing, Monkeyland (a must for the kids) and the worlds largest free-flight aviary with many beautiful indigenous birds.

Ichibi offers a totally unique and romantic setting for your wedding.

A small and exclusive lodge set on 30 acres of a private estate overlooking Langvlei Lake, where the fish eagles cry and the otter feed. We can arrange a tented venue for up to 200 people. Caterers, photographers, flowers, music and even a registrar can be tailored to you personal dream.

The honeymooner’s suite, two other suites and continental breakfast are included in the venue rate.

Ample secure parking is also included as are the beautiful star spangled night skies.
